Worth grading or keep as is?

I was able to pick this coin up for melt today in dealers junk silver bin. It had some haze hiding the contrast, but after carefully applying some MS70, the haze all came off. Now, I wonder if it has a shot at cameo.

Don't bother. I don't see it grading cameo or high enough to justify the fees. It looks a little banged up and it's not a Type 1 reverse.

Thanks! I thought it was waaay better than junk, so I couldnt help myself!
Better than junk but I agree that it looks like its been around the block a time or two, I'd just stick it in an album but if the curiosity gets the better of you let us know the results.

Yep, better than...better than bullion.
As is.
Ya did good
are you able to provide better pics? that coin being in a junk bin notwithstanding, i think there may be some potential there but i can't make that split-decision from those images. the other comments are probably spot-on but it is in my dna to run things down until i am satisfied or hit a wall.

Nice find, Doc!
I think my wife uses that to cook with 😉
Nice pickup but it is better left raw.
I believe that would make a nice album coin... I think it would be a wasted investment to have it slabbed. Cheers, RickO
