Welcome! For a first gold coin that is a nice one!

Thanks! I have a sweet 1 oz American Gold Eagle 2020 coming in tommorow and I’m so excited 😃!

I’ve never held a full 1 oz gold coin.

The only one oz. gold I have is the 2013 reverse proof 100th anniversary gold Buffalo.

    Cool!

I'm not big on modern bullion coins but I can get excited by old gold. Nice!

    Well hey that’s still something!

    Gold is NOT cheap.

I just read somewhere that 5-10% of an investment portfolio should be in precious metals and so decided to get an ounce.

Next I’ll probably buy either a St. Gaudens Double Eagle or a Liberty Head Double Eagle.

Safe to say I caught the gold bug 😂

Welcome and congrats.... though you could use a light on that $10. 🤓

The one oz. gold coins are impressive and also quite expensive. Buffalo nickels are my favorite coin so the god Buffs are special to me.

Yeah I was considering a Buffalo but then I remembered the Buffalos are 1oz .9999 gold coins whereas the American Gold Eagles also have 1 oz of .9999 gold but it’s mixed in at a 91.667% ratio with copper being the remaining 8.33%.

In the end both are 1 oz of pure gold though.

Now I need an ounce of Platinum & Palladiun 😆

Ah yeah 😆. I just did a quick photo. To be honest the face has dark spots and I don’t like them at all. I like gold to sparkle and shine.

@Gam3rBlake.... Welcome aboard. Gold coins are great... A tad expensive right now though. Gold can be addictive, you may start stacking. If so, I recommend the Precious Metals forum here for good information. Cheers, RickO

Those are beautiful pieces. I have a few 1 oz. Buffs but no reverse proofs.

I still haven't bought my first gold coin yet, and probably won't for awhile unless there's a big drop in price.
I've got a Kruggerand in an bezel (inherited/gift), but that's my only gold so far.
That $10 Indian is a great first gold coin. Very nice.
