How do you think PCGS would grade this early quarter?

I recently purchased several bust items, Morgan’s, etc. but I can’t grade this stuff on the smaller ones. It has 2 scratches on the obverse so I think it would get a reject label.

Yeah its been wiped at some point. Good date though, significant early Bust coin.

Cannot really see scratches but the cleaning is a straight grade hurdle.

I like it but it looks cleaned. Looks AU+. Very nice.

I got all of these plus some other 3 cents, buffs as a single lot from an online auction. You can find some great deals from these, they are like online yard sales. I paid $325 plus the juice and shipping for this lot. Same place that I got a large and heavy box with the 22 plain-strong reverse as F-details. Plus a capital plastics holder of very nice proof Lincolns from 1950-1964, all but 1 are beautiful bright red gems, the other is the 1951 which has pretty neon blues/pinks, and the 63 has a small partial print on the reverse. That was $250 plus juice and shipping.
I have never seen an earlier proof coin so I don’t know if the 1892 dime and 1859 half dime or not. They don’t appear to be cleaned but the half dime has a verticals light scratch on the obv.

I see the scratches, two towards the eye from star 4 and two towards the mouth from star 3(If I've numbered the stars correctly, I started from bottom left 1-7 then 8-13 on right). I apologize if wrong.

I'd get it authenticated too. The date looks good but I don't like the look of the dentils. I could be wrong but the coin just looks off to me (which could be the result of the cleaning and off center strike.)

The coin looks cleaned, but genuine.

I’ll also jump on the “AU Details” bus. It’s too bad that it was cleaned.

Thanks folks. One of these days I’ll have to submit a batch for grading/upgrades.

I like the look of the '08 Barber, but that's just 'cause I'm partial to 'em. Those bust halves look like they're a bit less messed with (more wholesome?) than the quarter.

Interesting... I have never purchased a large mixed lot of coins at auction. I might if it were a local auction in this area where I could examine the contents before the bidding. Cheers, RickO
