Purchased in a cull lot from AMPEX years ago. Holed, ugly and 12 notches cut into the edge all with exacting precision. Someone took time to do this, measured the distance between each notch with calipers and they are dead on. Wish I knew the significance of these notches, months in a year?.
More likely the 12 hours on the face of a clock.
