Had and lost a son. Battled cancer for years. A Buffalo icon. Yeah if only.

I would like to have seen Pistol Pete get a ring. He was a magician.
Footage grainy, it was a sick pass, but it was not between his legs. We were duped!

I've always had a soft spot for Charles Barkley. Gave everything he had every night.

Barry Sanders certainly deserved a ring!

Terry Bradshaw had 4 Super Bowl rings, but he had to fork them over to his ex-wives, they took him to the cleaners!

As a lifelong Cubs fan, I'd crash the boards listing everyone, but here's a start:

    Ernie Banks (Duh!)
    Ted Williams (Double Duh!)
    Ron Santo
    Billy Williams
    Fergie Jenkins
    Ryne Sandberg
    Sammy Sosa
    Gabby Hartnett
    Carl Yastzemski
    Jim Rice
    Barry Bonds
    Ken Griffey Jr
    Ty Cobb
    Andre Dawson
    Dick Butkus
    Dan Marino
    Tony Gonzalez
    Juan Marichal
    Robin Yount
    Willie McCovey
    Eric Dickerson

Check out this sick bounce pass underneath his leg all the way down the court.

That's a great pass but he didn't bounce it or go between his legs.

Damn, you're right. It looks just like he passed it under his leg. I guess because the footage is so grainy. I'll replace it with a few more highlights.

You're welcome. He was truly one of a kind, his father, Press Maravich, made him into what he eventually became, one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He still holds the record for highest scoring average in college basketball history (44.2 points a game), and in the pros he was a scoring machine. If he wouldn't have gotten injured in the pros, there's no telling what his numbers would've looked like. They're are a few documentaries about him, if you ever get a chance check one out. He was a true basketball genius, and they'll never be another Pete Maravich.

And his father, Press Maravich, was his coach in college at LSU. His father really pushed him into becoming one of the best players of all time. It should also be noted that Pete scored 69 points in a game at LSU. He had four 60 + point games and a bunch of 50 + point games in college. He could just go off like that.

Yea, the 76ers never made an effort to build a team around him. I didn’t blame him when he left in frustration.

I thought the year he played in Phoenix he would do it, but MJ stood in his way.

I went and found a better quality copy and it was part of a top 10. One of the other plays was the same type of pass but from a different angle so it was real clear what he had done. Great pass for sure!

Hard to believe they never won the big one with all those great players.

Aside from the Buffalo Bill greats like Kelly, Reed, Thomas and a few defensive players I would have liked Welker to have won one. He missed out with the Pats and Denver before he retired.

    I agree all around.

And I will add my favorite baseball player. I know it's a controversial name around here, but he's already been mentioned in this thread.......Jim Rice.

There are a lot of greats without rings. A lot of them have been named in this thread.

Edit to add: Welker really left it all out on the field. Yes, he should have caught it. But I have gotten over it and forgiven him. I know a lot of Pats fans haven't.

2nd edit to add: plus his "foot" press conference is 🤣 https://youtu.be/kkvBhMIAWHA
