Mercury Dime 1920 S - Variety?

Hi All,

can you please help me to identify the variety of this Mercury Dime?

    Those are circular scratches from a coin counting machine.
    So, not a Mint variety.

    @tittanium ... Welcome aboard... Your dime has suffered Post Mint Damage (PMD) and carries no numismatic premium. Cheers RickO

    When the scratches are right in the middle of the coin like that, they could also be from the screws that were used to close the cylindrical coin banks that were popular at one time. The top coin in the bank would get scratched when the bank was screwed shut.

    Again, this is damage rather than a variety.

    Why? They were meant to hold pocket change and they did. It’s doubtful that people who used them cared about the condition of the coins.
