The price guides are not exactly known for being accurate.

Difficult to discern how you did as you did not say how much you paid. ;) But in any case congrats on the newps.

What would you value the morgan at? https://imgur.com/a/UdXGIWq

@CalifornianKing.... Without seeing it in hand, purely on the picture.... $110-120.... I really do not like to assign prices based on photographs.... not even TruViews, since so much is left out, concealed or lighting improved in photography. Cheers, RickO

Value is only measureable when cost is known. Nice coins. Love the merc.

If you bought the coins and love them then you did great, if you bought them mainly concerned with profit then it depends what you paid for them. This hobby is a lot more fun if you go the former route and don't worry about the latter IMO

It's really difficult to answer how you did without knowing your goals and what you paid. For example, the 1879-S dollar is attractive, but the toning probably isn't worth a significant premium. If you got it for near trends or a bit more, then it's probably a fine purchase. If you paid twice trends for the color, then you probably could have done better.

For the SLQ, my general thought is that I personally shy away from MS60-62 because they're usually not attractive for one reason or another, often having significant hits, hairlines, or muted lustre. To that end, AU58 coins still tend to be priced lower, but can be much more attractive than a low 60s coin. If your goal is to profit off the coin, then how well you did depends on how much you paid. There's a decent jump in price from 60 to 63, but a small discount from 58 to 60. If your goal was to have an eye appealing coin and the higher grade price is too much, I would bet you could find a more attractive 58 and save a bit of money at the same time.
