It might just be my imagination but one last pic I see a "G" and other letters on the chin and below it? possibly a mint mark "P" on bottom of neck and -god we- on neck/chin area?

Worn out dies that may not have been carefully prepped ahead of time given the lack of circulation of half dollars even then.
flow lines from extremely worn dies

Worn dies, flow lines.... No letters on the chin... What you are interpreting as letters is called 'pareidolia'... Cheers, RickO
