seller does not accept returns, what are you going to do
I ask because I bought this buffalo, and although has not arrived yet, I suspect the worst

Doesn't matter if they have a no return policy. If it's a fake, file a claim. You should be ok.
I've never spent $20 on a listing I hadn't looked at or was worried about. Wow. Never had too much money. Hope you both get your funds returned. Best of luck.

Do let us know how that turns out. Maybe you got a $1k discount, doubt it though. They already have a neg for using a stolen picture on another item.
Quick edit- that coin looks familiar, I've been looking at a lot of 1936 Proof Buffs lately.

I already filed a claim and the seller is accepting the return. good luck @davewesen

says ungraded but is obviously in a holder
could be SEGS or ACG or stolen pic, should know in a couple days
Seller sold two of the same grade, date, mintmark, and PCGS cert numbers.
Should be pretty easy to point that out to ebay. If they listen, you'll be okay. Now how do you send it back as it's illegal to ship counterfeit coins through the US mail system?

Pics are likely stolen.
Seller is building up feedbacks by offering cheap listings such as single clad Kennedy half dollars and common wheat cents.
Wow.... Near disaster.... Happy to hear seller will accept your return. Thanks for posting the link, it will warn others to stay away from that seller. Cheers, RickO

It's the same photo. That it was sold twice in three days makes me think someone backed out of the original sale (or bought it to end the item and refused to pay), and the seller is aware of a potential issue with the coin. That is, of course, unless he's using a stock photo of a counterfeit.
needless to say (now the negs coming in), my nickel showed up near XF business strike. I did find where they got the pic, the nice nickel is in the registry set of EAGLEGUY17
Wow. So they are sending completely different coins?
Well that sucks. I assume you were able to get a refund and the seller has hopefully been NARU'd by now?

Will I have either found the real 1889-cc one or another fake. Has the same certification number.

I still can't get past the "Ill admit I actually didnt even look at the listing" part of this saga.

Look at the front leg on the 36.
Looks like a peg leg to me.

Doesn't matter since that isn't the coin he received. Typical bait and switch type ebay scam.

.
Ebay has a goofy policy on returns. They let the seller say that they do not accept returns and then let the buyer return stuff anyways most of the time. The seller does not have a choice, he/she must refund the amount paid for the coin if the coin is counterfeit. The purchaser may not have to return a counterfeit coin.
update on progress - requested return saying coin received did not match picture or description. coin is business strike and near XF. eBay said seller has 4 days to respond before asking them to help(seller did not respond). After 4 days eBay says they will take 2 days to make a decision. After a few hours they said return for refund and offered label. Now coin is in transit with an expected delivery date of Thursday.
Pictures of coin received with holder to put it in. seller not naru'd yet but another neg, gonna wait until money in my account before leaving anything
