My visual interpretation of 1st verse of Dark Star by the Grateful Dead. Bronze 63mm.

Dark star crashes, pouring its light into ashes
Reason tatters, the forces tear loose from the axis
Searchlight casting for faults in the clouds of delusion
Shall we go, you and I while we can
Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?

Thanks ricko! I started this piece in Feb 2020 and recently cast it.

Wax model

Sand mold

Casting before flow channel removal, edge clean up and toning

Is a fun process that takes about a week per casting. This was the first one.
