Perhaps the frith isn't the only one in existence...

I've found an interesting piece not too long ago. I've thought about sending it into pcgs, but to be quite honest, I'm not really impressed with them. Please take a look and tell me what you see. All photos are of the same coin. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

I wouldn’t have said that. There’s about to be a meltdown in here
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
I see a nickel with random marks on it and nothing out of the ordinary. Regardless of what you think of PCGS, there’s no reason to submit it for grading.

I'm impressed.....by the picture...er.....ah....pictures.....of the nickel.
I'm with ya. I grade all my coins myself. I find that much more impressive. Yet to find anyone who notices all the meanings and patterns. Of course, many an incident has occurred as these cashiers attempt to treat me a fool like the rest. I suppose all gifts are also a curse.
Interesting first post.

Feedback: stick it into an album and enjoy it.
I don’t see anything other than a circulated nickel.

Welcome to the forum!
Sometimes areas of toning can play tricks on the eyes.
Normal, well worn, beat up nickel. Might be a super tiny lamination, but nothing to add any value.
I don't see anything that warrants submission. Die polish lines , strike through errors, die gouges, cracks and breaks ....and such, are insignificant , but interesting anomalies.
@Ladyluck6199 .... Welcome aboard. Nothing on your nickel is of any numismatic value. Good luck in your search. Cheers, RickO
I have studied the Frith nickel when it was owned by Bern Nagengast. This is not the same. Just a normal coin.
Some people are quite talented at separating the fly $hit from the pepper.

Isn't the Firth nickel (named after the collector who purchased it in 1961) a regular 1942 obverse with a "S" 1941 reverse? If so, the OP's doesn't look like it is it.
Really nice pics!
so unimpressed, you sought out members of PCGS's gratis message board? i would welcome you but i'm not sure that is in order just yet.
also, for a coin that if being compared to the 42-s large S frith nickel, fails to have even any mm? what am i missing? perhaps the one i as well as other members here have examined in-hand. 2015 for me.
sure, i can appreciate someone swinging for the fence but i think you are playing a different sport.
how about some bona fide? or do you expect on post 1, with such poor presentation and attitude, to get free professional advice?
perhaps your next post(s), if any, you may be able to plug the big hole you just shot into the floor of your boat?

Haha jeeze lighten up mr Newman I just didnt want to speculate or add speculation to what I saw so I left details that I see out and wanted to get feedback. That's all. Nothing more. I'll be sure to insert harsh unwarranted opinions into ur posts from now on. Thanks. Jeeze.
Yes Mr Feld you are actually the first person I emailed and we went thru that already. Thanks again for your feedback. 👍😍
I guess "any and all feedback " isn't appreciated. Mr Newman gave truthful feedback and one could so wasted his valuable time doing so. JMO.
Submit to NGC if you dont like PCGS.
And to clarify as to why I'm not very impressed with pcgs it's not for not. As most of you know there are some coins out there that are under graded as well as some that are over graded and as most of you know it depends on who u have grade them. I'm of the opinion that slabs take up too much space and grading is only in the eye of the beholder. Theres much room for interpretation which is why I love this hobby. I simply wanted feedback on my first post and that's what I got so I thank you all kindly and I'll keep posting even if some of you dont like what I post. I think it's funny that some negative feedback was recieved but I'm totally cool with it as I dont know what kind of day those people have had today. Lol to each their own! Stay safe healthy and again appreciated the feedback.
As to what I see...
This coin has strike through as well as double or even tripple striking going on.
I have the coin so looking at it as a whole and being a math major I took the tragectory of the degree of its off center first strike and found that yes indeed that's where the s mint mark would be had it been present in the first strike. And the strike through was just interesting so I pointed it out. I just wanted to see what you all saw and I just can't seem to find nothing in this cool coin. 🥰
Mr Newman gave unwarranted negative opinion about my character. Read his post again.
So have you bugged your local coin shops with this yet?
Thanks for posting very good photos.
I think I see a small delamination in your red circle.
I don't see anything large enough to be the "s" mintmark right of Monticello,
but it's a fun thing to look for.
This isn't going anywhere.
