Simply put, there are no words to describe the feeling you get when holding a coin you have designed.

I'm sure there are some good quotes from Morgan and Barber, mostly about each other.

I believe that truly expresses the pride and satisfaction the artist feels after the long period from concept to circulating metal. And very justified. Cheers, RickO
That is something our forum member Dan Carr could have said.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
"Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value---zero."----Voltaire
"Everything you say should be true, but not everything true should be said."----Voltaire
Agree, but I imagine Dan would be saying something similar about his Broken Sword Peace Dollars in addition to his state quarters. They are both impressive. While the quarters are issued by the US Mint, the relief and size are just much larger on the dollar than what is possible for the quarter.
I can imagine one saying “oh no, not another meeting”.
I’d actually think it more exciting to see someone else holding/using it.
I was awaiting my flight home from Seoul in 2017 when I watched a 787-9 touch down. I’d seen plenty before then, but for some reason, that was the moment when it really clicked that at that moment, the pilots were looking at/using something I had done. It was a really, really cool feeling.
In 2006. while purchasing a book at a Barnes & Noble, I received a Nebraska State quarter – the first coin I ever designed – in change for the very first time. This statement tries to describe this experience.
Anyways, my thanks to Zoins for the kind introduction. I've been trying to think of a way to introduce myself on this forum for some time now. I really enjoy the conversations and am learning a great deal!
What a great story Richard. I bet it was an amazing experience to see your design used in commerce.
I've enjoyed your posts here and hope to see you post more
By the way, you have quite a few coin credits to your name now. It's been quite a journey you've been on since 2006. Bet it's still fun looking for your new coins in circulation when they come out!
