Another Blast White Washington Quarter Added to the Set. 1939 S MS 67
Now down to Four coins left to finish up my 10 year project. This Coin comes from the Dr. Phillips Collection and as we have become friends over the past few years I have been lucky to be there when he has upgraded coins for his set and sold off the others.
This coin in hand has a Great Strike and another CAC Coin. It is so fun to look up the certificate numbers and I have traced this coin Back to the @dpoole Collection that sold in 2013 for a record 6,463.00 and a few months later someone lost out and the coin sold for 1880.00.
Dr. Phillips picked off the coin a year later where the coin has found its home for the past 6 years. John offered me the coin and I did not Hesitate and Happy to fill this slot with another Great Coin that is in the Old No Prong Blue Label Holder.
Thanks for Looking. Coin number 179 out of 183
Enjoy Tom

Even from looking at the true view the coin is beautiful.
Now that is a real beauty .... The way a Washington quarter should look.... Great addition to your set. Good luck with the last four.... Cheers, RickO
Nice and bright. Almost there.
Shame there's not a "Love" icon on this forum. "Like" seems so inadequate for that beauty you have.
Tom,
Congratulations on the coin. I know you have been holding out for an exceptional coin and that coin definitely meets that criteria.
Can't wait to see you complete that set.

@1tommy , Congrats on a gorgeous coin with a ton of luster. You’re part of a large but relatively silent group that prefers 20th century silver without toning that hides luster. As you point out, this coin merits its CAC, which says to me that even if this coin were dipped, it was done gently enough to not strip the coin of it’s natural original luster. If anything, possibly the thin coat of toning that it may have had was properly removed to show off the natural beauty underneath that coat to show what this coin is supposed to look like. Enjoy!
