This summer Bought some coins from ebay ,that went missing in action for 5 weeks ..filed claim... ebay refunded purchase ..then coins appeared 3 weeks later. Emailed seller how to pay him ... he refused the repayment,, saying loss was part of doing business Any reason seller wouldn't take the money?

Ebay may have covered the loss and the dealer wasn't out any money.
Insurance may have paid the dealer.
The dealer may just have outstanding customer service and is willing to cover the loss.
I have done the same thing as a seller on ebay.
Pretty much covered what I was thinking.

This seller sounds like a good guy(or gal).
Collector, occasional seller
That is an honest seller.
He may have figured you were a cheat, blocked you from buying again and moved on. Just a thought.
Sounds as if his 'loss' was recovered. What was the value of the transaction? Cheers, RickO
No.. have bid many times after
$100
The answer is : "the seller pays". You don't think eBay will eat the loss , do you ? It is sellers who always pay. And for that seller , as most of us, it's the cost of business. Losses !
