Mint Set adhesive wearing off?

I purchased a 2009 P&D mint set last year. I recently decided to take a look at it, and noticed the adhesive sealing the plastic holders in place appears to be wearing off, peeling the card apart. Is this normal for sets of this age?

Welcome to the forum!
I don't have that set or I would check mine. Maybe other members will be able to help.
Do you have a picture of what you are describing?
What @CoinHoarder said.
@Chris_Moliere I found the set you are talking about. If what you are describing is the glue dried out and the plastic holders are coming loose, does that mean your coins will be loose? Perhaps these were stored too warm. Try and post a picture of what you're dealing with.
@Chris_Moliere.... Welcome aboard. As mentioned, pictures would help us help you.... Just from your description, it would seem the packaging may have been affected by temperature or humidity.... that is a guess. Cheers, RickO
Most likely temperature and humidity for sure... I kept them in a cabinet for safe keeping, but California. It gets pretty warm down here, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the cause.
I've never heard of it before, but it is a concern. I'd expect those adjacent to the holes to tarnish up in a bad way.
great picture btw.
The 2009 holder was different than usual because of so many coins. Possibly the packaging materials were different and not holding up with age.
Thanks for replying. It doesn't look like the plastic holders have peeled apart just yet. I would reseal it, but that might hurt the resale value.
New to me.
the sets might sell for the issue price of $27.95 if you meet face-to-face. a dealer would likely pay less.

what definitely hurts resale value is that it is opening up.
there is a high probability that those coins near the openings will tarnish up in some ugly way.
buy a back-up : (not my auction)

Thanks for the links. I will definitely buy a backup if the coins begin showing signs of wear.
