The only way that coin would be magnificent is if you throw it in a fountain that benefits a charity.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Thanks for the welcome Ikes T, and no I didn't find it in the parking lot find. If you'd magnify the cent then maybe you would say it is magnificent...

Please magnify for us what makes this dime "magnificent" so we can learn something. I'm always willing to learn.

I magnify and still don't see why it's a magnificent coin, please enlighten me? 🙂

silverpuff? love to know when my screen name changed to that

I never said you did all I said is what the coin you showed was and nothing more and gave some advice as to what you should do beforehand that way your point is clear and on point, also helps ease confusion as to what you are trying to say and prove

I'm thinking Danaro1 is insider2. I could be wrong but it's some previous member.

  • silverpopsilverpop Posts: 6,667 ✭✭✭✭✭

Sometimes you can have something that's trash to you but to someone else it may be a "treasure"? You know what I mean?

I know exactly what you mean...but you asked for people’s opinion and it looks like the prevailing opinion is that it’s a common 39yo dime in OK condition for the age. If there’s something the rest of us are missing, point us on the right direction. If there’s not something we’re missing...you’ve gotten a pretty consistent grouping of opinions.
Welcome to the forum. I hope I’m missing something.

Your dime looks like it came from the deep end of a short bus. Pretty rare I’d say.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Earlier today I read there are more hydrogen atoms in a teaspoon of water than there are teaspoons of water in the sea.

334,600,000,000,000,000,000,000 hydrogen atoms in teaspoon of water.
252,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 teaspoons of water on Earth.

So, yeah. I was a bit distracted by your thread and I thank you for that.

I can't quite explain it, but your coin is giving off a really positive aura.....like something from the past, perhaps...

  • LeeroybrownLeeroybrown Posts: 444 ✭✭✭✭✭

The dime looks double struck on reverse possibly; seems there are a few die breaks/ chips on reverse... may be a rare variety??? Looks mid-circ grade to me with interesting toning.

Question for you... what series do you collect, like as your series of choice?

Your dime looks as if it has spent considerable time in the ground... Seems to have been well struck prior to it's unceremonial burial.... Cheers, RickO

That coin may be worth "ONE MILLION DOLLARS"!

... but to me it is just an environmentally damaged dime worth 10 cents.

    All glory is fleeting.
