    1. But if it was mine, it would be a 62.

So are the 64's in Coin Facts. Actually a lot chatty.

Sure, and I love this coin. But there looks to be a coinscratch on the rev coming down from the S in States, as well as a rougher patch on the obv between stars 8-9. Without those I think it goes 63+ or 64.

Edit, maybe that scratch is on the holder?

First look at the obverse, was thinking 65.... Then closer study and the reverse... 64.... Cheers, RickO

    Correct, holder.

From what I'm seeing, the other thing holding this coin back is luster. On a 64 and especially a 65, you want to see that uniform luster all around. If you look at the obverse of this coin (the more important side) you see some dullness, non-uniform luster above the hair, in front of the face, around the neck and above the date. I'm not a gold/DE expert, so I'd love to hear a more technical breakdown of the coin and grade from someone who is.

Like someone once said, this forum would pick apart a naked supermodel, so don't take any of this as criticism of your beautiful coin. One of the best parts of this forum is that we're all learning, myself especially.

Could be anywhere between 58 and 63 from the photos.

    I'm going to guess 62.

I don't know. But to me the luster looks pretty thick, I'd give it an extra point for eye appeal - like an aging but still hot supermodel.

My guess is MS63, but it’s quite attractive, regardless of the assigned grade.

    Couple things:

Thanks for the great comments. Truly appreciate, excellent knowledge out there.

Purchased 9/2000. Notice the early serial #. From what I have seen recently sold on the market this coin was graded tight.

I think there would be more consideration today for eye appeal, just my opinion.

Great coin, love these gold foil labels, not surprised it stickered. Well done.

Nice! Why do the gold foil labels not have a regular cert number? I found they can't be looked up in the cert page either.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
