Does this 1910 Lincoln cent look like it's been cleaned? How can I tell? Looks to shiny.
Thanks for the feedback, Joe

Yes unfortunately IMHO
Yes. It screams "cleaned". The look of the coin just isn't right.

The first two photos have a normal red/brown look to them. The lighting is a little harsh in the second two pics. An in-hand assessment by someone knowledgeable about copper might be in order. Having luster or being “shiny” does not necessarily mean the coin has been cleaned.
Hi bolivars, actually the second picture is a better representation of the coin. It looks like a fresh coin. A 1910 with this luster would grade high... Thanks
Maybe try posting a few more photos using different lighting.
No one can possibly give you an accurate answer from photos taken while the coin is in a 2X2 with harsh lighting creating glare. Take the coin out of the holder and take some new photos, the color looks off but I cannot tell at all if there is any true mint luster on the surfaces from these photos.

I'll remove and take more photo's - I appreciate all of the opinions and advice
As others said, the photos are not ideal. But the photos do seem to show hairlines which run in multiple directions. This is seen as a tell-tale sign of past cleaning. I'm on my phone, and can't quite tell if it really is darker/dirtier around and near the devices - which also is a sign of cleaning.
Added photo's removed from 2*2
Yeah, the color doesn't look right in those last pics. I suspect there is a lot of activity going on in the fields as well.
Ok now we can see the surfaces, there do appear to be some wispy hairlines and the fields don't show any signs of original mint luster. I agree and think this coin was "improved" at some time in the past, shame.

It appears that you can see some original luster near the rim, but the fields appear to have been cleaned.
I knew it would happen.
Thanks to all input, it's aligned with what I thought...
I hope you submit it and share the results.
Please...orient the coin correctly in any future images.

The coin looks cleaned.
Lots of coins that haven’t been cleaned display hairlines.

Interesting cent.... I do not see any specific evidence of cleaning. Yes, the surfaces do raise the question, however, there are none of the typical signs of cleaning. Perhaps a mild dip in a 'secret solution'? Or maybe, just a coin with an interesting history. Send it in... the review in hand by the TPG will be the final arbiter... Cheers, RickO
Just too tough to tell with pictures. Too many ways of cleaning to determine or if it was an "old" cleaning, etc.

Hairlines from cleaning or careless handling as in hairlines from slide album. Appears to have been cleaned in my opinion.

Likely cleaned.
Mark Feld is correct. The hairlines are not obtrusive on the coin.
They are, in fact, rather light.
I can't say either way.

I Can't tell from the pics.
I'd put it in an album.
