Five playing days items.

I have some hope for a mid to high grade with the first and last. The middle three are all low grade. Im not the type to worry too much over the number PSA picks anyhow because these flimsy guys need the protection more than anything and will look spectacular once encapsulated. That last one, methinks, could end up pretty high grade.

If you scroll down at the right speed, you'll watch Mickey age before your eyes! The shot of the 54 ASP below has a 6 on his back...

I'm hoping for a trip home around Thanksgiving/Christmas since I paid up for express turn around time. Maybe that's too optimistic, though.

@1951WheatiesPremium I am subbing a couple dexter press cards and a 61 phillies cigar Mantle. It is telling me I have to sub them under the express level? Is that accurate? $75 a piece to grade them now?? Haven't done any in a while at that size. Not sure if I am missing something?

Dexter Press are small enough that they don’t require a Jumbo holder. They should qualify for regular level pricing.

The Phillies Cigar is requires a Jumbo holder which carries a fee increase no matter what service level you use. I think it’s Service Level + $30 Jumbo Fee - double check me, though.

Thank you so much for the kind words!!! I actually posted my guesses elsewhere and I was batting a thousand until the last one came in at 3; I must have just missed a little wrinkle somewhere.

Cards that ‘out kick their coverage’, so to speak, is totally my wheelhouse and what I go for...

...but I would endorse every technical grade PSA has given, though I would like to give the ‘66 a closer look when I get it home. As I said, I’m sure it’s something that I missed.

Nice items Tim! Since PSA started grading the jumbo premiums they have been consistent with tough grading imo. I thought my 66 was pristine too and I believe I received a 3. That ALL star photo must be amazing. Congrats on the pickups!

I don’t have the PSA scans yet but I recall at least once before it took a day or two for them to show up. To be honest, I wouldn’t be totally surprised if the SecureScan program - which I absolutely love - was suspended temporarily for causing delays.

Overall, I’m happy with the experience. I do try to be as understanding as possible with the missed turnaround times especially since I am such a small fish in a big pond that seems to be quickly moving toward lake status.

And let’s be honest, its a great sign of the health of the hobby/business of collecting cards.

By the way, congrats on the continued climb up the Mantle Master Set Registry, Ben. You’re one of my favorites that I’ve met through the hobby...

Thanks for the kind words Tim. I enjoy the back and forth discussions with you and other collectors. That is much of the fun with collecting Especially when we find new items. I’m convinced new Mick items will keep showing up for a long time...
