Hello Everyone, back again with a quarter that looks like It has been beaten around the edge on the obverse but the circle it creates is an almost perfect circle. It has something similar on the reverse. I seek comments and opinions from those with more knowledge about this, than I have. All comments and opinions are welcome and appreciated

U.S. Coins made from 1965 through 1967 do not have mint marks.
Possible "dryer coin".

Your quarter is a damaged coin, and
not an error of any type, I'm sorry to say.
What you see all occurred to the coin
well after it was already in circulation.
Also, there were no mintmarks on any
Quarters from 1965 to 1967.
Damaged quarter that could be worth up to 25 cents, to the right buyer.

Yup. Spent some time in a dryer or other piece of revolving machinery.

The rim was removed with a knife and then it got roughed up.
It's otherwise very high grade (VF) considering its travails. I'd guess the rim was removed back in the '70's and then it spent most of the time since in a sock drawer.
PMD
My first reaction was yeeeeikes.
Why Mintmarks Were Removed From 1965-1967:
Mint marks were removed because too much coin collecting caused a nationwide coin shortage!
Wow! Didn’t know that. Thanks
Definitely PMD and could well have been damaged in a dryer.... Cheers, RickO
