Woodrow Wilson Woolrine Strode, better known as Woody Strode.
Played in the backfield at UCLA with Jackie Robinson, starred in John Ford's classic western,
Sergeant Rutledge. He was John Wayne's sidekick in 'Liberty Valance' and part of John Fords'
family of actors. He didn't last long in one of my favorite westerns' Leones' "Once upon a time in the West".

Double D, he either played pro baseball or basketball, I can't remember which.
But I believe he excelled in both sports. Thinking he played MLB.

Jim Brown in “Tick Tick Tick” Such a great movie, it’s about a Black Sheriff taking over in a small predominantly White Southern Town back in the 60’s. It’s a classic

Watch the movie "The Big Country" probably the best performance ever by an ex pro athlete. Connors nails the "bad guy" role to a "T"!!!!

Carl Weathers in the Rocky movies very good too!

Agreed Banzai. Connors was probably the most talented at sports and acting combined
as anyone listed in this thread.
I remember he was a guest on an episode of gunsmoke and he played a boxer who didn't
carry a gun. He liked to bully men and just clobber them for no reason. Of course in the
end Matt Dillon had to take him on and teach him a lesson. :)
Chuck was great in 'The Big Country'. Great performance by Gregory Peck as well.

And if you want to see anything hairier than Chuck Norris in this movie
you'll have to spot an actual Sasquatch.

I seem to remember that Ben Davidson had many "bit" parts in both movies and TV. Not a star like many of the others mentioned here but still kept busy with multiple parts.
