Who runs the NBA and MLB? Owners or players?

I vote the players do. Seems as if wimpy owners have ceded their responsibilities and authority over to their blockheads employees.

I meant to type "blockheaded." Why can't I edit my own discussion? I should have gone with what I really wanted to say...as in...STUPID players.
Who cares?
Organized sports (Pro, College, Highschool, club and recreation) can function and operate however they (leagues, team owners, team management and players) desire within applicable laws.
If the viewing public loses interest, gains interest or remains static in their interest in response to changes in how organized sports operate (resulting in more or less revenue generated from the viewing public) so be it. If revenue decreases then the leagues, teams and players will have to tighten their belts or face the consequences of spending more than you earn. If revenue increases then the leagues, teams and players can celebrate and devote their share of increased revenue to whatever they choose to devote it to.
My own view is that I like sports as a diversion from daily life. Thus I enjoy watching the athletic performances. I do not like non sports stuff being injected into the diversion I enjoy. If the enjoyment I receive goes away due to the injection of non sports stuff I will turn my attention elsewhere.
Is this another one of those "shut up and dribble" threads?

I suppose a lot of folks will side with a guy like this. (FYI He has the largest Highest ranked US coin collection ) rather then the athletes or sympathetic owners.

Guys... I've already shut down two threads that ran along similar lines. Please do not continue with this kind of stuff. It just gets too divisive and I don't want to have to begin blocking people.
