Classic gold folks, what's the market like?

Looking at not often traded pieces and wondering what the market is like for classic gold that is CACed.....?
Something like a $2.50 1844 C PCGS/CAC in vf25 and a $5 1848 D PCGS/CAC also in VF25
Are they the "don't look at the price guides, including CAC's, as they will sit for awhile because the market is thin"? or the "they will sell quickly at guide level...maybe above"? or the "go to a quick sell to a dealer in that area and take hundreds less than guide because the market IS thin...for a normal seller who doesn't have the clients/wantlists"?
Asking...."for a friend"
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Active but at a VF25 I’d say much less active than even at VF35. Unless the color is wonderful I think those coins remain outside of the real sweet spot of highly liquid and in demand classic gold. EF40 on both of those coins is kind of a minimum grade to me for many to be interested.
Latin American Collection
Boosibri beat me to it. Most classic gold collectors want XF coins or better.
