Came across these two very interesting fellows today. PMD or something else? Opinions are much appreciated. I'm swimming in different waters today. Maybe, in Lake Weinberg? :D
1963p and a 1952p/d/s?

Maybe Brockage?

Not sure why some are indicating damage on the first piece?

Thank you for the quick determinations. I was hoping Fred would chime in, as well. I seen similar coins like these before
Esp. The 2nd coin. What did you guys call it. "Split Planchet"? At least that first coin, the 1963, seems to be in great condition to boot, huh?

Not rare, but not common. Very nice finds!!!

I agree on the error attribution.

2 coin, nice split. Too bad you do not have the other half.

Mornin' all - just saw this post -

The first responders got it right as far as what the errors are.
(defective planchet or ragged end clip type on the '63).

Would like to see a full photo of both sides of it, but from
    the photos, I'm 97% certain it's defective/ragged.

100% split planchets are fairly common on nickel coinage,
going back to Shield Nickels, and become more common
    on Jefferson's, and especially WarNicks.

As mentioned, it would be nice to have the other side of
that '52 Split, but it's a typical example of the type.

Thank You, Fred, for responding with your usual correct assessments on my two Jefferson's. I knew, picking these out weren't PMD coins, but I wanted to be certain. Most of the guy's did come up with the right answers but seeing you, sir, having your say in this, just sealed all the questions. Thanks again Fred! Yeah, like mentioned, I too wish to have that missing part of the Planchet. That would really be interesting. I took some more pics of the two coins. That '63 is still in good shape.
