He is on fire publishing a book per year...

Mr Jovel has very good books too, not sure if all or any translated to English. But he has to be one of the highest authorities on Salvadorean and Central American coinage.

He published a couple.of years ago this book. I had to order it from a small bookstore in SAN Salvador. Surprisingly arrived fast. Great book.

I wonder how much overlap. Only one way to find out... Asking him.

He tells me is an update with a new section on varieties that is guess is Brad's speciality.

I'm really looking forward to getting my copy! One of my favorite series of coins.

    Copy is on its way!

  • For those who are interested in the difference between the 19th Century book and the new book with Brad Yonaka, please note that the new book concentrates only on the Provisional coins (1828 to 1835 period), and that it includes an expanded historical part on the political and economic reasons for each provisional issue and provides new information on some of the series, and also sections on the identification and description of all varieties of the Provisionals. The book is the result of a close, fruitful and pleasant collaboration with Brad. I take advantage of the opportunity to thank those that have made nice comments about my previous books. Kind regards
