Would you call this cleaned? True View

PCGS called it AU details Cleaned. I'm (obviously) new to grading coins. To me this looks like a regular wear/use since it is a very soft metal.

To me it just looks really baggy.

Edit: After studying it some more, something about the haze in the fields doesn't look right.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

I wouldn’t say cleaned. Just took a lot of hits.

The obverse, in particular, looks cleaned to me.

I think "Cleaned" is being kind to that coin.

I'd call it graffiti, if forced to pick one word: looks like intentional marks were covered in more marks to try to camouflage them into looking like bag marks.

Regardless, there is probably no straight grade higher than VF that would make that coin acceptable in the sight-unseen marketplace.

Many times, the evidence of a cleaning doesn't show up in the pics. You need to examine it under a halogen or incandescent light while tilting and rotating the coin so the patterns of hairline scratches become readily visible.

While there are certainly a lot of distracting marks, I’m not seeing obviously intentional ones, that make me think graffiti.
