1921 Pilgrim & Norse Medal
These have been in my collection for so long now I cant recall where I picked them up nor what I paid for either one due to the fire that burned down our home. I pulled them out today going through boxes I rarely go though and ran across these. So I took some pics of each and thought I'd share them with the forum.
The 21 Pilgrim has some serious die polishing lines on each side that really make the light bounce around on the surface of the coin and adds luster in some cases, this one is no exception.
The Norse is the thick planchet variety and looks great under the lens with the toning it displays.
Thoughts as to the grades would be fun. Thinking of sending them in to our host here too.
Thanks for looking and comments are sure welcome.
Happy hunting, Joe

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Very nice Joe ... very nice!
Great photos too!
very nice
Not sure what they would grade but I sure do like them! If all the lines are die polish on the Pilgrim I would guess 65 at least.
I like both of them. You have a great eye and tend to select pretty nice coins. The Norse is fantastic. It’s interesting to me that the series wasn’t done in-line with other classic commems.
Please change the typo in your subject line. It's driving me nuts, and that's a short drive. LOL!!!
I like them both but that Norse has a color I really like. Thanks for letting us have a look.
You must have a short fuse. It’s been that way forever😂
I'm just messing with you but it's a Norse "Medal".
If those aren’t die polishing lines, I’m in trouble😂
Yes I did make an error. Just for you and anyone else I’m driving nuts, I fixed it😊.
My mistake and I’ll own it.
Now, how do you like the coin and “Medal?”
Beautiful!
Thank you.
I like them both. Especially the Norse. I would say 65 on each.
I have 2 other Norse medals and two pilgrims, this being one of them. It’s one of the commemoratives I like the design of. The Norse stands alone as @BryceM has already mentioned, different than all the other girls.
Thank you to all for your comments, Joe
More like a putt........
1921 Pilgrim & Norse Medals
Please add the "s" for medals, multiple!
I thought this was going to be a mule with the Pilgrim on one side and Viking on another!
Beautiful pieces. Congrats @crazyhounddog !
The Pilgrim is a coin not a medal
You're right! I guess we don't have to say Pilgrim coin
For people that always criticize the commem designs, the Pilgrim is another excellent counter-argument.
The Pilgrim is breath taking.
I have always liked the reverse of the Pilgrim coin. The Norse medal is one of those that I keep promising myself... and have yet to get one. Both are very nice.... Cheers, RickO
Pilgrim has a 65 look to it. I remember when Norse medals were "hot" decades ago. Neat piece of history.
I too am buried in a bunch of commems from back in the day. Here is my Pilgrim PCGS 64 which I like more than my other 65's.
btw Sounds like you a getting more situated during the rebuilding process. I raise a glass to your Herculean efforts.

I have admired the Norse medal for a long time. Both thick and thin versions. Thanks for sharing. Peace Roy
