Do we know if both the Silver Eagle AND the gold coin will be released on the same day?
Hopefully, not...as that will only double up the total online s*** show!

Dates are up. November 5th for both
Oh Jesus! That's going to be a double nightmare!!!
Holey moley.... going to be really tough to get through with both for sale....Cheers, RickO
Makes the big question: Do you try for the gold but potentially miss out on the silver or play it safe and try for the silver only?
You should all go for the silver.

If the last sale of 100 2019 Enhanced ASE's are any indication, the 1945 should sell out in about two minutes, the 70000 silver in about 12.
I am torn on this one. The mintage is low. Does anybody actually want damaged coins with a ridiculous premium?
The 75k should last about 10 mins.
The key here is 75k isn’t so special.
It’s a 150-200 dollar coin in a PR70 holder; so a 100 dollar flip after grading fees—maybe.
If you want one, you’ll get one if your there in the first 10 mins
As long as the US Mint website issues don’t occur:
1) pages not refreshing
2) carts not appearing
3) Pre entered and confirmed CC’s mysteriously erasing from the screen
Here’s a plan for the US Mint—
1) streamline ordering by allowing the default pymt type to be a pre entered CC—and not having to select it. Forget the CVV too.
2) I shouldn’t have to select my billing address; again set defaults and your done
3) checking a box to confirm???? H&ll no—-“by hitting place order I agree....” that should be enough.
These three things would be a more straight thru processing of the order and pymt
Sounds like everyone is going to be twice as mad as last year.
That sounds about right, don't forget that 99% of our computers will be stuck in a log jam and you'll be reading "something went wrong" on your screen.
1945 coins would probably be more than enough to satisfy collectors if those same collectors didn't yap their jaws to family members, friends, work associates, librarians, gas station attendants, etc.
Loose lips have consistently sank ships.
With everyone and their brother trying to get in, get out, and get paid, there is not a lot of room for people who actually want one for their collection.

Funny DCW how people share this opportunity with others, as you say, as a possibly miss guided attempt to get the newbies interested in coins but what they mostly get them interested in is making money that does not replicate itself very often in this sport.
Streamlining ordering equally benefit flippers. So would forcing people to jump through a million more hoops—concert tickets great example of how hard the solutions are. The easiest for the Mint would be to raise mintage or price. A $5000 gold and $100 silver would work.
One tweak that could maintain the publicity they seem to be doing this for would be releasing info as they open sales. Have a computer randomize the markup and mintage within a large predefined range.
