Bought this coin recently. My question is about the left field on the obverse and right field adjacent to the date. What generates this type of effect?
I really like the reverse die lines. To save some people time it is MS-67+

Looks like die polish lines to me, or sometimes toning can give unique looks. I have one Lincoln that looks like a lamination almost due to the tone and how it formed.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Die maintenance. It's prominent on both sides.
Doesn't hurt the value, generally. And can make for a very flashy coin.
Lance.
i figured it was die polish. thanks for the responses

They may have been trying to remove clashing. You can see some in the reverse.
I agree with die polish lines.... and the comment about the clash...Cheers, RickO
