So I'm looking at this 1927D Lincoln. I'm thinking MD. Most of you are better at knowing these than I am. Your opinion?
Thanks, Bobby

Sure looks like strike doubling to me. Shelf like appearance and, if I remember correctly, if the mintmark looks doubled then it's nearly always strike doubling.

Yea, I couldn't get it in the pic but when I look real close, I've highlighted the shelves in this pic.

It looks pretty flat to me. I would think it would be MD.
Classic machine doubling. Were it true hub doubling nothing would show on the Mint mark.
I'm thinking not, as maybe the handling of the extreme height of the image is coming through as doubling.
For me, need to see at least 3 more photos from random locations of its image.
You seem to have the drive and your photos show that.
Cool
Machine doubling.
Doubt the "state" that coin is in is Maryland. Maybe Nebraska as there is a Lincoln there.
Machine doubling.... Excellent pictures ... Cheers, RickO
Thanks for defining. It's starting to require a codebook for these acronym posts.
Machine doubling it is then. Thanks!
