Attention LMC Collectors: How difficult would it be to make a toned set?

Not sure on this one. I purchased a raw set for a song in an old dansco. Several of the coins were toned with rainbow colors. I sent the most colorful off for grading and everyone got straight grades. Just curious if it would be possible to complete a toned set.

Why, sure! I think that is a marvelous idea. Toned coins are very attractive and pleasing to the eye. Good decision, not only in liking the tone coins but interested in building a set in them. As a matter of fact, I too am starting one. Sort of. Lol. Just a very small mixed dates set in the Capital holder. As you can see, not completed yet.

Me too.
WTF is LMC?

My guess would be Lincoln Memorial Cent, but there are no context clues in the title or OP to be sure.
Lincoln Memorial Cents?
People sure love their acronyms. Most of the time I can eventually figure them out.

I am more of a wheat cent collector, however a Lincoln memorial toned set is possible but will be harder to find in the 80's and 90's coins as those have not had as much time to tone yet, well naturally tone anyway.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
The folks here who have done it will need to chime in on the time it takes. But its been done several times before.

I am actually working on one now, if the OP was talking about Lincoln Cents.
It is quite a challenge to find some dates.
LMC=Lincoln Memorial Cents, sorry for the vague abbreviation!
Here is a couple from the toned set I was referencing...
Go to the registry showcase section, scroll down to toned, open up. You will find multiple sets and a few in proofs.
If you have the cash it’s completely possible be prepared to spent way more than sheet value

100% possible i use to be able 2 find stuff like that in the junk box at the local shows. I'm sure it would be a challenge but a gnarly one dude!!
A frying pan, some cheap chemicals, and a little luck with your submissions, and it could probably be done with ease.
Get a set of shiny cents and put them in envelopes in the attic for a couple of years....Open up and voila'....a tarnished set....Cheers, RickO
