I have a nickel error I wanted the group to share with, its a 1939 D off center.
CORRECTION.. 1959 D Its in unc. condition and was wondering about the R factor of this particular issue...?

That’s a great O/C on a low mintage Jeff! I’ll be interested in hearing if Fred has ever seen this combo. .
Neat error! Looks to be well preserved.

Wow great date for an off center nickel!

Really cool! Brings up an interesting question. Are there any pop reports for error coins?

Nice one.
Just my opinion.
It looks to be a type II (1940) reverse which was more common than the type I (1938) reverse.
@FredWeinberg Yes @Jimnight you are correct..
That is a beauty, I’ve never seen one for that date and mintmark combo (I’ve seen a few Philly examples). Can you share any provenance?

@seanq At this time provenance is unavailable.....
Very nice error coin. Needs to be authenticated since the Chinese are producing all manner of error coins these days.

Absolutely right especially since "provenance is unavailable".

Yeah, I'd send that one in to our host.
It's a 1959-D, not a 1939-D.
Look at the shape of the "3" (which is really a 5).

Good pick-up. That makes a big difference in value.

@JesseKraft You are correct sir, I was wrong about the date. I have changed the title. Nice job and thanks!!
Nice error. It's nice when the date is "caught" . Much more valuable.
