Images are of my silver 1882-dated King Kalakaua coronation medals. Cataloged as 2RM-9 in the book Hawaiian Money: Standard Catalog Second Edition, by Medcalf & Russell, 1991. As of 08/19/2020, the NGC census is 2. PCGS census is 0 (PCGS identifies a NGC AU50 was sold in April 2020).

This is the current NGC 2RM-9 census low ball medal at VG 8 (with planchet defect).

This is the current NGC 2RM-9 census top pop medal at MS 66.

Nice medals. When I used to go to hobby shows and flea markets, I would often overhear people asking dealers if they had any Hawaiian coins... Only once did I hear an affirmative reply, and remember the individual getting quite excited. Seems they are scarce and ardently sought.... Cheers, RickO
