There's a really neat omm found in 1971 mint sets that can be seen with the naked eye.
It's the Denver nickel and among the 97% of coins that are less than full Gem it accounts for right about 1.5% of mintage.
There's supposed to be a RPM-004 that appears in the set but I don't believe it.

The one that you linked to is the RPM-004. Did you intend to link to the RPM-001? It is noted as being in mint sets.
The RPM-001 certainly is dramatic, and definitely a neat variety I was not aware of.

Yes, This is RPM-001. I knew there was a "busy" mintmark in these sets but only recently learned that it was a recognized variety. 1.,5% is a very low incidence for mint sets since most coins are made by few die pairs (20- 40). Since large percentages of '71 mint set nickels are badly tarnished now this coin will be one of the scarcest mint set varieties.
That's nice!
Nice pick! Good eye and illustrations.
