What grade would you assign this 84CC ?

Trying to get better with understanding morgan grading and came across a decent raw example on the bay. Looking at it I figure it would be a 62. Do you think im close or what grade would you give it?

The pictures just aren’t good enough for me to guess.

Your guess of 62 could be low or high. If you’re interested, I’d ask for better pictures to be sent to you. This saves you and seller the annoyance of a return.

58 cleaned or at least dipped. Need better photos.

It looks to me as if either the coin or the photos have been messed with. The surfaces look hazy/cloudy/unnatural. But I can’t tell if it’s the coin or the photos. Additionally, the shots are angled, not straight on. All things considered, I’d definitely avoid it.

The photos look hazy/fuzzy to me. We need clearer photos.

based on the pictures provided I'd say dipped out AU details.

I believe we told you over on the Coin Talk forum you should pass on this for all the reasons given above. There are some very knowledgeable folks on this forum you should listen to. Once again, 'Pass' on the coin as advertised.

Here is a ink which may help you in the future. It's not the best but it is okay for beginners.

I would not bid/buy this coin.... looks over dipped and the pictures are deceptive. Cheers, RickO

Learning to grade from bad pictures is the worst way to go about it. When the world is back to normal visit local shops and shows and get your hands on as many different coins as you can and study why they're graded what they are.
