I haven't bothered clicking the links you post in threads, but if the images are subpar why even wonder?

With a 61 grade it is probably wiped/hairlined.

    Happy Hunting.

The seller has 5,000 coin listings and has been a seller for 20 years.
I would think they may know what they are doing.

My dumb guess would be if they thought it would upgrade they would have tried. ;)

I'm not seeing much upgrade potential based on how I interpret the images. Then again, it's your money.

    Doesn't look upgradable to me.

Appears that the seller knows what he is doing and the coin would have been cracked out already if it would upgrade.

I had a couple of MS-61 Walkers in my day. They were BEAUTIFUL! Full luster, nice strikes. Fantastic.....until you looked close, and saw really noticeable hairlines in the fields. Depending on the veiwing/camera angle and lighting, you wouldn't even see them.

I've since upgraded and sold them, and feel better for it. ;)

MS-61 isn't a grade that the TPG's give "by mistake", or because they were having a bad day. There is usually a really really good reason for it.

The coin lacks lustre and has ugly, splotchy surfaces. Two good ways to go the uncirculated basement.

In my opinion the 61 grade is correct!

"Uncirculated basement..." I like that one, @airplanenut .

When I magnify the less than optimal pictures, I believe I detect lines/marks in the fields...somewhat concealed by the picture/tarnish. I think the grade is warranted.... Cheers, RickO

I did the same and now see what your talking about. It does seem to have an older cleaning.

Like some of the others, I haven’t studied the photos, but......... If you have to ask, the answer is almost certainly no.
