You know, I've been studying a few of the Wilson "Novodels" being sold by Jeff Shevlin. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or not, but the strikes being sold as "Silver Select Triple Struck Off-Center" really seem to have been struck FOUR times . . . .
There appears to be a "base strike" creating a "host coin," then there are three more over-strikes, each off-center to varying degrees.
See my screen grabs below for a few examples from different photos of these that I have run across. I have circled the position of the word THE in the legend of each strike to illustrate.
My OCD just made me post this clarification. The "Triple Struck Off-Centers" are really all "Quad Struck, Triple Off-Centers" . . . .
It appears you are right but I didn’t get into these errors and such.
This is only y pet peeve u the gold gilt has gotten a little to messy.
It comes past the portrait considerably and that bothers me.......but just my 2cents
@coinsarefun IIRC, the gold plating is done by another contractor than the MM. QC isn't as good -- I agree. But the triple (quad) gilted gold over silver is quite attractive.
Mintages -- It's hard to get final mintages when the press keeps making more, and more, and more ... While the MM is striking these for Shevlin, Mr. Carr is only the contractor in this case and doesn't control/limit mintages like he does with his own products. Over production is a concern that may over-saturate the market and de-value the medals.

I don't think it's that different for the regular issues. My understanding is that that there was an ordering period the last few months of 2020 and no more are going to be struck now that 2020 is over. Jeff had enough struck to fill all the orders placed in 2020.
What is different is that errors and overstrikes are offered on Jeff's website which isn't often the case for Dan's own works.

There was at least one additional mintage in early Feb when an updated list came out. I bought several more. Then on Feb 26 I got an email that certain Pesos were not able to be struck, not sure what that meant. Maybe Jeff can chime in if he is following this thread. Would be good to get final mintages. @SoCalledGuy

My understanding is that those were to fulfill the last Dec 2020 orders, but some extras may have been struck. At this time, there should be no additional strikes.
My understanding is that Jeff will publish mintages in an upcoming So-Called Dollar book.

AK, I tried finding the photo of one of the triple struck Wilson's that you had posted, but had no luck. Was yours a quad strike as well?
My curiosity about these is really piqued . . . . . .
Z -- Yes it was but the obverse 1st strike isn't visible like yours. You can just see the rim of the 1st centered strike. However the reverse clearly shows 4 strikes --

Those aren't mine, I just grabbed whatever photos of them I could find. One of them came from Jeff's website.
THIS one however, I was really happy to secure. It is a double over-strike.
It's pedigree is:
Started out life as a 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar. You can see those elements highlighted in yellow in the images below.
Then it was overstruck with a 2020 Wilson / Manila Mint 100 Year Anniversary die set. After that had been completed, it was again overstruck with a 2020 Moonlight Mint Open House die set.
So it is a 2020 Moonlight Mint, over a 2020 Wilson / Manila Mint, over a 1964 Kennedy Half.
