Which auction? I'd pay a little over bid for that!

EDIT: The coin was purchased in 1979 for $725,000 by Partrick.
Let me be the 1st to say "I think I see rub". It's a JOKE, it's a JOKE. Stop the flaming.
Certainly more valuable than any
1794 Silver Dollar and also more
Valuable than any 1804 dollar.
Chump change for you Andy
Now that is a long term investment!
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
I held this one in lot viewing a few years back and it was way cool.
I will be interested to see how the MS65 example does!

Very cool coin. I remember when Walter Perschke bought that coin and he talked about it a lot. He held it for quite some time IIRC. I also remember when he submitted the coin to NGC and made a remark that was not very flattering for PCGS.
Your hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need it.
You'll get a much better idea once TDN's 1794 and 1804 get auctioned.
Nice to see someone keeping a coin in their collection for a good long time.
Beautiful coin....Good luck with the sale. Cheers, RickO
If I recall, this held the auction record for a numismatic item for about 10 years until the Dexter 1804 brought $990,000 at Auction '89 in Rarcoa's session.
It was noted in many ads by Bowers & Ruddy and Bowers & Merena during the time that they held the auction record.
Regarding the original question, I was suprised to see that the CDN does list them, just without a price in 65. I predict Bid will eventually be whatever the winning bidder ends up paying.
It will be interesting to see the result considering all the potential world circumstances between now and the sale and with the numismatic market having some of the biggest items coming up for sale. So far today its bullion value is dropping fast so I'll have to factor that into my bid - - possibly I might not be in the running to win it.

Will it become the 2nd coin to sell for more than $10M?
I don't like the prongs in the NGC holders. Too distracting and they hide part of the coin. That coin deserves a better holder.
