There's no margin between "$1" and the edge of the label. That was the most immediate red flag to my eye.
I totally agree with you when you say it happens a lot ... that the bummer.

You are a much better student of the labels than I am, but I see it now.
The red flag to me was the polished looking fake in a straight grade PCGS slab, yelling “danger danger!”.
