Anyone know of Contreras gold?

Back in the 1970's Ace Reiswig owned Common to Key Coins in Sacramento.
He had the coolest artifact.
I'm guessing 7 or 8 mine ingots. Stamped "Contreras." Weights stamped. IIRC, roughly quarter to ounce and a half sizes.
All of them had been peened into a stippled silver folding bear.
It was hinged and when it was opened, there were the bars mounted on a silver bear.
Pure California history !!
This link shows the bars.

If not exact, it's very close to what I remember seeing.
I'd sure like to know where that hinged silver bear full of ingots ended up.
