.
i've had successful transactions with this seller but i saw this buff and something didn't seem right but i let it run because i couldn't fault it. the 9 in the date is the only thing i could really pick on besides the overall look/color.

If in doubt ... pass.
The 9 and designers initial are Both pretty wonky.
Photos are out of focus so difficult to pinpoint anything.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Sometimes hard with photos but nothing looks too off about it to me but surfaces look cleaned
ty. i forgot the mention that. i check several dates on coinfacts and the F has a continuity of placement which does not appear to be in-line with this coin.

The reverse is one I've seen before. I made mention of it years ago as having an "Embedded" S which touches the "C" in CENT. The mintmark is also genuine, the same on that is on the 1909-S V.D.B. with the flaw.
That date and initial don't look right, the 9 and the placement of the initial look strange to me.
The 4 overlapping the 1 in the date also looks weird.
I don't know what to think of it.
Here's a pic of a different slabbed coin:

I must agree I have never seen the #4 touch the #1 and also the #9 does in fact look questionable, the designers initial are under the left side of the crosslet in 4 are shown in "Buffalo Iron Tails" photo, it will be interesting to find out if it is Genuine. if it isn't it is a darn good "Fake". The reverse would "fool" me it looks to good to be a "fake"
images enlarged and made clickable. forgot to do it earlier.
tyvm for the commentary. i squirmed over what to do about it and the concerns expressed echo my thoughts.

A very telling point. Probably enough to condemn it.
if it is a counterfeit, it is the first buff i've seen with that good of a mm.

Does the right front hoof look a bit wonky as well?
