Have you ever owned a pair of Air Jordan shoes, or any other athlete brand shoes that were expensive? Do you own any jerseys of favorite players?

I owned one pair of Air Jordan shoes in my life, and that was back in 1992. I had a pair of Air Jordan VII shoes. I got them at Footlocker at our local mall, and they were over $150. Here is what they looked like.
Now, I have owned a pair of Chuck Taylor shoes in the past, but I didn't care for them much. They felt weird on my feet. They felt like clown shoes. I felt like a clown in them.
I was unstoppable in my Air Jordan shoes! All the kids were jealous, I felt the stares of envy!
I think I had one pair of jordans in high school. Several pairs of Chucks up through a few years ago. All adidas guy now for sneaks.
I wear cheap shoes these days, whatever Wal-Mart has laid out on the shelves.
Never had a pair of Jordans, just several other Nike Airs. Did have a pair of the two tone fold down Chucks back in the day that looked like this ...
I had a Jordan knockoff jersey and the Air Jordan shorts at one time.
Wow! I had no idea they made them like that! That is wild! 😂
Back in the day, I had a pair of the charcoal gray Air Jordan X with the career highlights printed on the sole. Absolutely loved the look and the way they fit on my feet. Sometime later that year or next, after the next Jordan release, I bought a second pair of Jordan X exactly like the first once they were on sale. After the first pair wore out, I went right to wearing the newer pair. I also owned a pair of the Jordan XIX SE in black with the gold trim. They were comfortable, but a little clunky looking, and the patent leather toe got scuffed and dirty easily. I've had numerous pair of the lesser priced Jordan brand Nikes, including a couple pair of the Jordan brand Derek Jeter shoes. I absolutely loved those. When the Jordan X retros came out, I of course had to go get a pair. Probably should have bought several. Best shoe I've ever worn, and currently in my rotation.
That design is awesome, and I love the career highlights on the bottom. Those might just be the best Jordans they made.
Now, let's not turn a blind eye to the dark side of Air Jordan shoes. I'm sure we all know, there have been many attemts in the past at cheaply produced knockoffs of Air Jordan shoes. Here are a few examples of attempts at slipping one past us. There is a name for these cheap counterfeit Jordan's, and I like to call them "Air Jackson's".
This is pathetic
This is probably the worst one, and you can spot these fakes easily because if you'll notice, the Jumpman has a butt crack.
Howdy partner, these Jordans are just horrible.
High heels on these puppies.
There are also cheap knockoffs of Adidas shoes. If you'll notice Adidas is spelled "Adadis" on these fakes.
Found a pair at a resale shop about a year ago in my size for $20. I have no idea if they’re worth $2 or $200. Bought them so I could say I own a pair knowing this thread would pop up a year later.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
No
The Jordan brand is a separate line of shoes than the Air Jordans, but still use the jumpman logo. They used to send me a catalog periodically with new releases of shoes and clothing, but haven't gotten one in some time. I recall there being all kinds of Jordan branded items, even sandals and beach type "aqua socks". There was even a line of Jordan dress shoes and semi dress shoes. I actually bought a pair of the semi dress. They were black leather low cuts, similar to a loafer, with a kind of a grainy pattern in the leather. There was a tiny light brown jumpman on the top of the toes right by the laces, and a bigger light brown jumpman on the heel. The inside of the shoe was a padded brown leather that peaked out around the ankles and down the laces that gave it a 2 tone look. They were sharp. I'd wear them with tan Dockers all the time when the need arose for something slightly more dressy than jeans and high tops. Would get lots of compliments. They didn't breathe though. That padded leather inside the shoe was a design flaw that made them hot as hell to wear.
No Jordan's for me. I had real sneakers, Reebok pumps
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I was the only kid in my high school with a pair of Jordan IV's and I've bought at least 2-3 other pairs of Jordans over the years but I honestly don't remember which ones they were. They were somewhere in the 1995-2005 years and they weren't the newest releases at the time when I bought them.
I've been waiting patiently for the Air Wilfork I's to get released.

I also remember buying a pair of the Larry Johnson Converse React sneakers that had this green gel in the heels that was supposed to help cushion your heels while playing basketball. They were a crock of sh... that eventually popped then leaked out.

@erikthredd 😂😂😂😂😂 I would be embarrASSed to even have those in my home.
I had a pair of these puppies as well, they were hot when they came out.
The Deion Sanders Nike Air Diamond Turf.
I had the original Jordan 1. I had to have them to match the black and red Honda Aero 50!
The shoes looked like these:
The moped looked like this:
I thought I was cooler than I really was!
Golfer?
.
I remember those. I had forgotten that I'd also owned a pair or 2 of the Bo Jackson cross trainers, back when Bo Knows was a big thing, and those Deions were out roughly about the same time.
Nope, but owned my share of Nike Agassi's.
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ignore list -Basebal21
I have owned a pair of Air Jordan's the "Melo" line, and they were literally the most comfortable basketball/tennis shoes I have ever owned. I would still be buying Air Jordan's today if i wore basketball/tennis shoes but unfortunately I don't wear them anymore.
That must be it because i recall with all the little metal spikes on the shoes, that made it very difficult to play basketball or tennis, and especially bowling.
Back in the mid 70’s I did too
I also remember Grant Hill had his own shoe with Fila.
>
I remember those, too. Always wondered if instead Hill had gone with Nikes, perhaps he wouldn't have had as many foot and ankle injuries. As Mars said, "It's gotta be the shoes!"
Did you ever find yourself prancing around like this while wearing those?

No. Gaudy shoes have no appeal to me
Never had Jordans. I'm more of a flip-flop guy.
I never owned any Jordans.
But I find shoes to be an interesting topic. My current situation is that I am on disability, which has its blessings because I get to be a stay at home Dad. But when I had to buy "dress" shoes for work (after the decade I spent driving trucks doing manual labor where footwear choice was important) I definitely wasted a lot of money on poor choices (by trying to save myself money).
I have learned that what I wear on my feet has a lot of influence on how I feel. And I like to occasionally look for thrift shop deals where I can get a $300 pair of dress shoes for $10.
I have to say I like the old school Converse flat bottom sneakers. I found they were great at the gym back in the day.
