What would you grade this 2.5 Lib.

PCGS graded it AU55. I cannot find any wear. Did they knock it down because of the luster around the stars because of potential cleaning?

Slight wear, but neck dings hurt and they are tough on rim dings. Accurate market grade I think.

A 55 will not have much wear but notice how much difference there is between the fields and the protected areas around the stars. That’s a big luster break.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

I agree, big luster break from fields to protected areas. That would be light wear or handling.

Seriously, you cannot find any wear?

That obverse got into a fight with (something) and sacrificed itself.

    Have a nice day

Rim dings, neck dings and a lot of chatter in the fields - obverse and reverse....Cheers, RickO

Wear as in wear wear, not luster breaks.

Then 75% of the obverse & reverse has "luster breaks".
