Detail, detail and more detail! Love it. MS 67?

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.First impression; the obverse looks like it was sandblasted. But I like it.
While it might look far better in-hand and be graded high(?), the luster looks subdued and it has some small spots. Strike is far from everything. I'm not overly enthused with it.

Strike is good but luster looks flat. 63/64 tops.
It may just be the photos or my eyes but it looks like it was messed with.
Looks like the 'MP' 1917 that was going around in the mid/late '70's.
I really like that Buff..... I would like to see different pictures, because it almost looks like a bit of luster is there. Cheers, RickO
The strike and the wide knife-like rims would suggest that.
Looks like a tiny bit of rub on the flank, but it's a picture (I've been 'fooled" before).

1917's can come very well struck, but you know this. Personally I think the one you have with the die crack through the L is nicer.

No intention to thread-jack but here is the 1917 that I have in my date set as a for instance. I know I've shared it here somewhere before, probably its own thread.
David Lange also used a very well struck 1917 as the cover coin for his book "The Complete Guide to Buffalo Nickels"

Nice.
looks to have a bit of reverse rub.........horn, left shoulder fur, left leg, tail, etc.
Indian is White Calf, same as Washington Redskins. Nice. Noble man.
some would refer to that as cabinet friction

Tough crowd!
A circulation strike with just a trace of wear IMO.
the coin looks au, and not the most lustrous from the pictures. It does has a good strike
Thanks to all for the comments, just got the coin today and it is quite impressive in hand.
I agree with the comments about the rub on the buff’s hip which probably puts it into the “58” category.

No way to know how it was applied. So wear, rub, etc is more than a fair assessment. May be some of the obverse as well. Would need to see in hand.
