Sold a contemporary counterfeit 1853 quarter

Specific gravity is 10.03 which indicates that it is 90% silver. Weight is 5.75g

    Well, maybe so but my eyes don't see what you see. They are not mushy and are nice a raised when you have it in hand. It certainly is not a Chinese fake made recently. The problem I really had with it was the weight was low and the reeding is almost non existent.

    If you find no takers, I would send a message to Gerry Fortin via his website. He has a link to a page of contemporary counterfeit Seated Liberty Dimes, so he would probably know of those who collect their Seated Liberty Quarter counterparts, too.
