Restriking medals is pretty common. I would have no trouble with it.
Why not? Let the art live on. As long as they are identifiable.

The TB hubs were donated by Brenner himself, and we're not sure about the JPJ dies. Anything with a 0000.999 accession number, the donor history is currently lost to us.

Just to be clear, I'm not against restrikes or collecting restrikes, but am against using museum-accessioned objects from a study collection to make restrikes for the market.
