There's nothing like a good umpire vs manager confrontation, when they get up in each others face, yelling at the top of their lungs and the crowd just loves it.

That was just a beautiful manager umpire confrontation. Both Earl Weaver and the umpire put on one heck of a show.
“I’ll knock you on your nose” 😂😂😂
Don't you ever put your finger on me! 😂😂😂
That one never gets old. I love how Haller digs at him for blowing World Series. This argument took place in 1980, right after Earl & the Orioles gagged away a 3-1 lead to the Pirates in the World Series.
And then in 1980 winning 100 regular season games and not playing in the post-season. Those two years must've been very frustrating for Baltimore fans.

Was Haller any relation to Haller who played for the Giants in the 60's?
Weaver was a punk.
The best story I heard concerned Casey Stengel when he was managing the Mets. One day “Marvelous Marv” Throneberry tore into one and ended up on third base for an apparent triple. The first baseman called for the ball, and the first base umpire called him out because he had missed tagging first base.
Casey Stengel was out in flash arguing the call. After a continued heated discussion, the second base umpire came up and said, “Hey, he missed second base too.”
An exasperated Stengel looked at “Marvelous Marv” and said, “Well I know he tagged third ‘cause he’s standing on it,” and headed back to the dugout.
