Lol. Yes, 4 coins guy's. Instead of my usual 1 coin. Lol. This time, for only seeking for HIGH grades! All modern, 1962p FB and 1974d FB Roosevelt's, one 2000d FS Jefferson, and one 1965p Washington Q. Hoping for MS 66's or higher.
One question. On the submission form, when it asks for the description of the coin. If you mistakenly write the wrong precise description, such as, instead of a SMS Quarter, you write a Philadelphia instead. Would PCGS correct it? Thanks guy's :)

Yes, they will catch the error and adjust accordingly. Good luck!

I would imagine they would correct it for you or at least inform you of the mistake.
Good luck with the high grades on your coins! I think you'll get them!

that's a definite "maybe" to be sure. if you remember russ, he did a little experiment where he'd send in Proof '64 Kennedy Half-Dollars and designate as Acc. Hair and they usually didn't catch it. with the SMS issues, especially 1965, it can sometimes be hard to tell them apart. in the past PCGS would almost always call any high grade SMS sent in as a regular Mint State coin as SMS.

Yes, that's my problem with the 1965. Bought this coin at a show 3 weeks ago, the owner of the coin placed it in a flip not stating SMS or P. Just a title of, " PL". Didn't bother to ask him. I was just concentrating on it's beauty! LOL Oh well. Thanks for the info. I guess we'll find out later? :)

You are wasting a staggering amount of money on grading fees relative to the value of the coins you are submitting (including your submissions from other posts). Even if you get all the grades you want, they will be worth less than the fees.

If you want PCGS coins, just buy them that way.

Did you see the Heritage Auction result I posted? $1898! Anything near that outcome will certainly cover the fee's plus a whole lot more, no? :)

That was in 2004. The last 67FS sold for $206. I would guess it would fetch less today. A 66FS is probably a $40 coin.

    This is true.
Several years ago I submitted several stunning 1965 Lincoln cents that I KNOW were not SMS...they were in a box of tightly wrapped shotgun rolls...got one 67RD (which at the time would have been a low to mid four figure coin).
But they called all the coins SMS.
So they were not worth squat.
When I complained, I was basically told I was wrong and that they were not business strikes but indeed SMS.
I had the coin for a couple years (mistakenly labelled as a SMS) and finally sold it to a Lincoln enthusiast who knew what it really was but I only got a couple hundred for it.
I probably should have resubmitted it but I figured the next time it would have been SMS 66 so I didn't.
