After some digging on PCGS Coinfacts, there are no known varieties for the 1903 Half Centavo. Most if not all of the red examples on the Coinfacts page exhibit the little bar closing of the lower loop of the 3 in the date. Not that there are to be found, please keep looking, that's how varieties are discovered! Yours is a nice red example!

I do see what you are referencing - good pictures - however, to me, they look more like die chips. An overlay of a two would be interesting (as @CaptHenway suggests). Cheers, RickO
