Supposedly, they transport your package to the post office that serves the addressee. USPS takes over from there.
I've got a heavy box to go and that might be the way.

I have not used it, however, I have often received packages shipped that way. Never had an issue. Of course, I am a sample of one person.... Cheers, RickO
I've never used it either, but I have gotten items shipped to me using that system and I find it very frustrating and slow. I even had one item, not coin related, lost in transit, just from Chicago to L.A., last year.
Slow as molasses.

Slower. Molasses actually flows.
Smartpost is the worst. But it is cheaper sometimes.
U.S. Mint uses them, by the way
Never used it,
Thanks folks......
It's about 40% more costly than just FedEx ground. I assumed that it must be quicker......
It's not. FedEx does most of the transporting and then gives it to the local post office to transport to your location.

Same here with the addition of some tracking lags.
Ground transportation every step of the way they can. I've seen them let it sit for days in a single location...likely because otherwise it would have gotten to me a couple days "early" (7 days instead of 10+).
I would only use it on my most hated enemies.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
